Temperature Instruments
FvLuoky, as a temperature instruments company, their industrial temperature transmitter is an intelligent two-wire temperature transmitter. It connects to sensor inputs such as resistance thermometers and thermocouple sensors, and after linearizing the input signals, it outputs a standard 4-20mA signal and HART protocol.
Different Types of Temperature Measuring Instruments
Our temperature transmitter types include Thermocouple Transmitters, Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) Transmitters, Infrared Temperature Transmitters, Fiber Optic Temperature Transmitters, and Wireless Temperature Transmitters. Each type has unique features and applications.
Sensor (Thermocouple, Thermistor)
Thermocouples
These are temperature-sensing elements that convert thermal energy into electrical energy. They are composed of two different metals, and the voltage they produce is directly related to the temperature difference between their two ends. Sensors used to measure temperature by correlating the resistance of the RTD element with temperature. Temperature measuring sensor provides accurate and stable readings over a wide temperature range.

Resistance Temperature Detectors
Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) are precision temperature measuring sensor made of high-purity conducting metals that measure temperature by correlating the resistance of the metal with temperature.

Temperature Transmitters
These devices convert the raw signal from temperature sensors like thermocouples or RTDs into a standardized signal that can be read by control systems. Electronic temperature instruments improve accuracy, allow for long-distance signal transmission, and can integrate with digital systems.
How Do Temperature Measuring Instruments Work?
The temperature transmitter works by receiving a signal from a temperature measuring sensor, such as a thermocouple or a resistance temperature detector (RTD). This signal is usually a direct, but non-linear representation of the temperature. The industrial temperature transmitter takes this signal and converts it into a linear 4-20mA current signal. This current signal can be easily read by control systems or displays. The 4-20mA signal is also less susceptible to noise and can be transmitted over long distances, making it ideal for industrial applications. The transmitter also often includes additional functionality, such as the ability to output a HART protocol signal for digital communication.
